The space

Immaculately renovated downstairs studio with its own exterior access in a multi-unit building only two blocks from downtown Santa Barbara & State Street. The original Spanish architecture has been preserved while offering modern upgrades & conveniences. Enjoy the stunning communal rooftop terrace with breathtaking mountain views, open for guests between 8 am and 10 pm.

This 320 sqft king-bed unit is ideal for 2 guests and has a 55", flat-screen Sony Smart TV with streaming, casting, or Airplay features (no cable TV) and a Samsung split heating/AC system for ultimate comfort. A private en-suite bath with an ADA shower and kitchenette with a Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker, mini-fridge, and microwave complete this stay in Santa Barbara. Pets are welcome with a $75 fee per stay. We ask not to leave pets unattended in the suite. Studio units include remote controlled skylights to ensure full room darkness.

NO PARTIES: We have a strict 'No Party' policy-parties or events are not allowed. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 pm to 8 am.

*PETS: ONLY 1 PET ALLOWED (N/A to service animals, applicable to ESA's). A $75/pet fee will apply; pets can not be left unattended in your room. Please disclose your pet to our hospitality team after booking.

LIVING WAGE PLEDGE: Our cleaning fee includes cleaning the unit and outdoor space, professionally. As part of The Living Wage Pledge, we are committed to paying our cleaners fairly. A living wage is a minimum income necessary for someone to meet their basic needs and participate in their community.

SUSTAINABILITY: To support sustainable tourism and reduce our carbon footprint, we provide Public Goods toiletries and green cleaning products.

Guest access

This is a self-serve stay. We provide contactless self-check-in. The doors are all equipped with smart locks, and a unique code matching the last four digits of your phone number on file will be generated and sent to you on check-in day via SMS.

We do not provide daily cleaning, however we are happy to refresh rooms for stays longer than 5 days, upon appointment. Please reach out to our hospitality team to switch out towels or request extra supplies.

Parking:

Casa De La Vina offers free guest parking in its private parking lot. One parking spot per unit on a first-come, first-serve basis. Free street parking is available if the lots are full.

Guest interaction

This is a self-serve stay. We are an off-site host, there is no front desk, and we provide contactless self-check-in. In addition, we have a dedicated 24-hour hospitality phone line in case of emergencies so we are always just a call, text, or chat away to help assist you during your stay!

The neighborhood

Located within walking distance to nearly all restaurants and retail stores on the State Street corridor, 20+ tasting rooms, 10+ breweries, and countless choices for eating or drinking make this an ideal location for anything that may bring you to the world-renowned Santa Barbara Coast.

Santa Barbara Transit Center is five blocks away.

For security, there are cameras on the exterior of the building.

This complex does not have live TV service. Instead, all TVs have apps (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV, and Amazon Video) for your streaming pleasure. The property has gigabit wifi, and the unit has a private network for guests to cast directly onto the TV.

Cancellation policy: Full refunds are available up to 24 hours in advance. A 4% credit card charge is assessed for cancellations made through direct sites and VRBO.

You won’t be disappointed

This place is part hotel / part AirBnb and it was perfect for myself, my husband and our dog. You get a code for the front door emailed to you and they text you when your room is ready. The room itself was very clean and spacious, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved that we could stream movies & shows from our phones to the TV (or you can log into streaming apps directly on the TV). There are 2 parking lots onsite so parking was never an issue. The location is great too - an easy, short walk to all the bars and restaurants on downtown State Street - but the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. There is no staff onsite but communication was excellent via email and text, they always responded within minutes. We will definitely stay here again!

Enjoyable stay

We loved staying at Casa de la Vina! The property has been recently renovated and is in excellent condition. It was clean and neat. We felt good staying there. The large room was cleverly arranged to create a lovely studio with livingroom, kitchen and dining areas around the sleeping space. The mini-kitchen was well stocked for the basics: plates, bowls, and silverware. We only ate breakfast in, and it was comfortably perfect for that. Be sure to take a bottle of wine to the public rooftop lounging area to enjoy the sunset! State Street with restaurants, shops and a huge street market is only a couple blocks away! There is a bodega down the block for essentials. Wonderful, economic place. I rate it very high!

Great Stay

We had a great time visiting SB with our stay at Casa de la Vina. Check-in was a breeze with the remote lock accessed by a keypad. The amenities are limited, but we appreciated what was provided including a pack and play with clean sheets. Next time we stay, hopefully a 2 bedroom will be available so we can have a bit more room for ourselves and our babies.

Absolutely beautifu!

We loved our stay at Casa de la Vina! We go to Santa Barbara every few years from TX as I have family there, and this was our first time staying at Casa de la Vina. It will be my go-to from here onwards! It's so beautiful and fits the Santa Barbara style perfectly. The rooms are styled perfectly, the rooftop is gorgeous (great photo op!), and the amenities were all great touches. Check-in worked perfectly, and there was plenty of parking available. The room was spotless when we arrived. Wish we could have stayed longer!
